Chef Apprenticeship

Chef apprenticeship at the DAS ACHENTAL resort, with experience in breakfast, event, à la carte and pastry kitchens. The apprenticeship takes place at the company and vocational school, normally lasts three years and may be shortened in certain circumstances.

Zubereiten vielfältiger Gerichte aus pflanzlichen Lebensmitteln, Fleisch und Fisch mit professionellen Arbeitstechniken und Geräten. Herstellen von Suppen, Soßen, Süßspeisen, Salaten, Teigen und Massen. Planen von Arbeitsabläufen in der Küche. Beschaffen, Annehmen und Einlagern von Waren. Ermitteln und Kalkulieren von Kosten, Erträgen und Preisen. Nachhaltiger Einsatz von Lebensmitteln und Ressourcen. Hygiene und Dokumentation. Mitgestaltung von Menüs und Speisekarten sowie Beratung der Gäste.

Successfully completed school education, or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification or Abitur for participation in the FHG Abiturientenprogramm. Enthusiasm for the profession and enjoyment of cooking. Manual dexterity, creativity, a pronounced sense of taste, care and culinary curiosity. Willingness to learn, motivation and resilience under pressure. Teamwork, reliability and hospitality skills. German language skills at least at B2 level. EU citizenship or a work and residence permit for Germany.
