Mechatronics Technician / Electromechanical Technician

Jenoptik is seeking a mechatronics or electromechanical technician in Jena to assemble, commission and test the electrical systems of complex testing and measuring equipment. Its Metrology & Production Solutions unit develops quality control and production solutions for industries including electronics, automotive and optics.

• Assemble the electrical systems of complex testing and measuring equipment at the Jena site
• Carry out electrical commissioning of complex testing and measuring equipment
• Find, analyse and resolve faults
• Use electrical measuring and testing equipment
• Inspect and check electrical installations
• Make customer specific adjustments and modifications to complete devices

• Successfully completed vocational training as an electromechanical or mechatronics technician
• At least three years of professional experience desirable
• Strong commitment to quality and technical understanding of electrical and control engineering, mechanics and pneumatics
• An independent, structured and committed approach to work
• A high degree of flexibility, commitment and enjoyment of teamwork
• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing optical components and assemblies advantageous
• German language skills at least at C1 level; English language skills desirable
