Apprenticeship – Mechatronics Technician, Start Summer 2027

As a mechatronics technician you are an electrical and metal specialist and work independently on electrical and mechanical systems after training. The job links mechanical and electronic production. Mostly used in final assembly or technical service, also commissioning and final acceptance. Training lasts 3.5 years, starting August 2027, vocational school in Jena.

• trained in metal and electrical engineering as well as basics of pneumatics and control technology
• Measuring, testing and programming components
• Working with control and regulation technology and programming programmable logic controllers
• Developing and building extensive mechatronic systems in various project works
• Assembling and integrating mechanical and electronic assemblies in final assembly
• first contact with the latest technologies such as networked machine systems and robotics

• a good Realschule or higher school qualification
• good grades in mathematics, physics and English
• color vision ability
• interest in hardware components
• a high level of commitment and self-motivation
• teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
