ServiceNow Platform Architect

Take responsibility for the overall architecture of LBBW's ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on clear technical rules and making applications work together as a consistent, secure platform that can keep developing over time.

• Develop the overall ServiceNow platform architecture and turn existing architecture requirements into a workable target design with clear principles, standards and rules
• Ensure consistency across ServiceNow applications, modules and scoped applications, avoiding unnecessary isolated solutions, duplicate functions and parallel data models
• Assess technical solution options, document architecture decisions, check compliance with shared requirements and clearly explain deviations and technical debt
• Establish an approach that prioritizes standard features and suitable out of the box solutions, and assess custom extensions for value, ease of maintenance, reuse and upgrade compatibility
• Define platform wide rules for data flows, APIs, integrations, permissions and core data models, accounting for data ownership, Foundation Data and dependencies on CSDM and CMDB
• Assess planned changes for security, stability, performance, scalability and release readiness, and coordinate architecture requirements with development and operations
• Advise implementation teams and coordinate architecture questions across the platform with the responsible ServiceNow architects, Lead Developer, Platform Owner and Enterprise Architecture team

• A completed degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• At least five years of relevant professional experience and experience designing the architecture of complex IT platforms
• Thorough knowledge of ServiceNow's capabilities and limits, and experience turning process, data and integration requirements into a coherent platform architecture
• ServiceNow mainline certifications as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist IT Service Management (ITSM) and Certified Implementation Specialist Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM), plus other relevant certifications
• Knowledge of banking regulations, particularly MaRisk and DORA, the ability to account for them in ServiceNow architecture, and experience in banking
• Ability to assess technical options in a structured way, explain architecture principles clearly and document decisions so others can understand them
• Constructive collaboration with business and development teams and the ability to explain and defend architecture decisions clearly and convincingly; no staff management responsibilities
• Very good German and good English skills
