Sustainability Strategy & Regulatory Transformation

In this role you work at the interface of ESG regulation, sustainability strategy and group-wide steering. You analyse complex regulatory and strategic questions, derive action needs for LBBW and develop practical concepts together with the specialist departments.

• Contributing to the group-wide development and implementation of the sustainability strategy, combining regulatory, business strategy and economic perspectives
• Analysing national and European ESG regulation and deriving strategic action needs, decision options and concrete implementation measures for LBBW
• Developing target pictures, steering approaches and viable concepts together with relevant departments and group units
• Further developing ESG governance, steering and reporting structures in close cooperation with Markets, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Sustainability
• Structuring complex questions and assessing regulatory, economic and operational impacts for different decision levels
• Planning and managing strategic ESG and regulatory projects, including coordinating dependencies, milestones, resources and budgets
• Preparing decision-ready management papers, concept papers, presentations and status reports for relevant committees and supporting current ad-hoc topics around sustainable finance and transformation

• Several years of professional experience in strategic, analytical or regulatory roles; ideally with links to sustainability, regulation, risk management, finance, compliance or the business lines
• Strong analytical, strategic and conceptual skills as well as sound knowledge of ESG regulation, sustainability reporting, sustainable finance or related fields
• Understanding of how regulatory requirements interact with business models, risk management and group steering, and experience turning regulatory impulses into target pictures, fields of action and actionable measures
• Good overall business understanding and the ability to place economic, political and social developments in relation to LBBW's business lines and strategic direction
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills to convey complex content convincingly and suitably for the audience and to bring together different interests and perspectives
• Experience in planning, managing and implementing cross-department projects with a sure eye for dependencies, schedules, quality and budgets
• High sense of responsibility, initiative and drive to shape things, plus a solution-oriented way of working in a dynamic regulatory environment
