Accounting Supervisor

At the Munich Marriott Hotel, as Accounting Supervisor you take responsibility for the daily management and monitoring of the hotel's finance and accounting processes. You support the finance management in ensuring correct financial statements, compliance with internal guidelines and process optimization.

• Support and deputize for the Assistant Director of Finance
• Monitoring of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting
• Participation in monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Ensuring compliance with accounting, tax and compliance requirements
• Carrying out account reconciliations and analyses
• Cooperation with internal and external auditors
• Optimization and further development of existing finance processes
• Training and supporting team members in the finance area

• Successfully completed commercial vocational training or university degree with a focus on finance, accounting or business administration
• Several years of experience in accounting, ideally in the hotel industry
• Good knowledge of German commercial and tax law as well as US-GAAP
• Experience with hotel and finance systems (e.g. SAP, SUN, Peoplesoft, Opera or comparable)
• Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Analytical thinking and a careful and structured way of working
• Good German and English skills, written and spoken
• Teamwork, sense of responsibility and strong service orientation
