Intern Project Management Quality Drives (Mandatory Internship)

The Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans. At the Mercedes-Benz Untertürkheim plant, we develop and manufacture central components of our vehicles: high-quality and forward-looking engines, transmissions, and axles for Mercedes-Benz cars. In doing so, we ensure quality from the start. Our 'Projects and Field Quality Management' department is responsible for the quality of development projects in the powertrain area. In the in-house development of our new engines, we represent the quality interests in the respective development projects. The focus is on preventive quality work in the product development process with the aim of ensuring the required maturity level at an early stage. During your internship, you will gain insights into the working world of Mercedes-Benz and the powertrain engine area (c-Drive). You will support the project management quality in current new engine developments and get to know the adjacent areas of production, development, logistics, purchasing, and planning.

• Support project managers quality in engine projects, from conceptual idea through development phase to industrialization and release of aggregates
• Support regular recording of performance indicators as well as requirement and milestone assessments to evaluate maturity level of current engine projects
• Regular preparation of quality metrics to control development projects
• Support project managers in reporting to department and center management
• Further development of standards and quality tools in the area of project management quality engines
• Participation in preparation and moderation of committee meetings within and outside the team
• Support with operational tasks in the area of project management quality

• Degree program in engineering, business administration, or a comparable degree program
• Strong German and English skills, written and spoken
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially PowerPoint
• Quick comprehension
• Teamwork and creativity
• Willingness to perform and strong communication skills
