Working Student Software Development Artificial Intelligence Systems

We are part of the MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System) Developer Journey and develop the PMT (Product Methods & Tools) Solution, the central platform that provides vehicle developers at Mercedes-Benz with the processes, methods and tools for their daily work. Our goal is to replace complex development processes with lean, tool-supported workflows and thus make vehicle development more efficient. For this we are looking for a person who not only uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) but understands it. These challenges await you among others: Development and integration of AI (Artificial Intelligence) components (LLM agents, RAG pipelines, API connections) into existing platforms Software development with TypeScript in modern technology stacks (NestJS, Vue 3) including testing and code reviews Independent implementation of delimited features from technical design to deployment Participation in architecture and technology decisions as a full team member You work directly in the product team, not in a sandbox – your code goes into production. We expect you to justify decisions, not just prompt. The activity can start from December 2026.

• Development and integration of AI (Artificial Intelligence) components (LLM agents, RAG pipelines, API connections) into existing platforms
• Software development with TypeScript in modern technology stacks (NestJS, Vue 3) including testing and code reviews
• Independent implementation of delimited features from technical design to deployment
• Participation in architecture and technology decisions as a full team member

• Degree program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or a comparable degree program
• Secure German and English skills in word and writing
• Commitment and teamwork ability
• Analytical thinking and strategic way of working
• Solid TypeScript knowledge – you know what you are doing, even without AI (Artificial Intelligence) assistant
• Basic knowledge in at least one AI (Artificial Intelligence) framework or an AI (Artificial Intelligence) API (Application Programming Interface) (e.g. OpenAI API, LangChain, Hugging Face)
• Understanding of software engineering principles such as testing, clean code and Git workflows
