Working Student Virtual Software Development for Drive Systems

We work on the virtual validation of drive functions and use modern simulation environments to validate drive concepts and their functions early in product development. In software-in-the-loop environments, control functions of virtual control units are tested and developed together with models of relevant drive systems. The work can start from December 2026.

• Further development of DevOps methods for creating virtual control units and virtual powertrains
• Development and extension of automation scripts in the software-in-the-loop environment
• Implementation of defined test cases for automated validation of virtual powertrains
• Development of AI-based solutions for automated software validation and efficient error analysis
• Further development of the driver-in-the-loop driving simulator

• Studies in computer science, electrical engineering, control engineering, mechatronics or a comparable IT-related degree program
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• Good programming skills in Python
• Confident use of version control systems, especially Git
• Ideally first experience with CI/CD, web development and automotive electronics or vehicle software
• Communication skills, flexibility and teamwork
• Strong willingness to learn and independent working style
• Commitment and initiative
