Working Student, System Development Automated Driving L2+

The department is responsible for system development for active safety and automated driving functions from level L2 to L3. The "Automated Driving Level 2" team has end-to-end development responsibility for driver assistance and automation functions, from concept development through series development to customer release, and helps shape the further development of innovative ADAS solutions. The work can start from December 2026.

• You support the operation of the team's test vehicle fleet, especially processes, software updates and troubleshooting
• You help analyse and evaluate test results and support the continuous optimisation of processes and tools
• You use modern methods, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI, to support analyses, documentation and evaluations
• You contribute to the further development of driver assistance and automation systems, aiming to make them safer, more comfortable and more customer-oriented

• You are studying electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable field
• You are interested in passenger car development, especially driver assistance and automation systems
• You have basic knowledge of vehicle networking, for example Ethernet, CAN (Controller Area Network) or FlexRay
• You have strong German and English skills, spoken and written
• You are motivated to learn new tools and methods and actively help develop them further
• You have first experience with AI (artificial intelligence) tools, for example Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot or agentic AI applications
• You have basic knowledge of scripting languages, especially Python
• You have an innovative, creative and solution-oriented mindset and enjoy developing new approaches for automated driving functions
• You hold a class B driving licence
