Employee Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Dewatering

OOWV is one of the large water supply and wastewater disposal companies in Germany. As part of the team, you support the smooth running of the treatment plant, focusing on operating and maintaining the central sludge dewatering system, the sludge storage tanks and the centrate treatment.

• You monitor the treatment plant operation, the sludge dewatering and the sludge storage in two-shift operation and keep everything maintained
• You operate and control technical systems and machines
• You carry out operational analytics and the necessary maintenance and repair work, e.g. for the sludge dewatering system
• You carry out sludge tests and do small operational tasks
• You continuously check the stock of consumables and use them as needed according to instructions
• You continuously check and assess the dewatering result and, if necessary, make the needed changes to machine settings.

• You have successfully completed training as a wastewater technology specialist (m/f/d), or alternatively training as a water supply technology specialist (m/f/d), waste management specialist (m/f/d), in electrical engineering, e.g. industrial electronics technician (m/f/d), in metal construction, e.g. metal worker (f/m/d), in machine and plant engineering, e.g. plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning (f/m/d), or in construction trades focused on civil engineering, e.g. pipeline builder (f/m/d)
• Ideally you have professional experience in the mentioned field
• You are willing to gain qualification as an electrically skilled person for defined tasks and to take part in the basic treatment plant operator course
• You enjoy working in a team and approach your tasks in a solution-oriented and structured way
• You also have manual and technical skill
• Your German skills are at least level B2
• You hold a class B driving licence and ideally class BE
