Strategic Buyer for Construction and Maintenance Services

ORLEN Deutschland is seeking a full-time Strategic Buyer for Construction and Maintenance Services at its Elmshorn site, starting as soon as possible. You will improve purchasing for technical and construction services and work closely with service providers, suppliers and internal departments.

• Analyse quotations, invoices and orders against existing framework agreements to identify ways to improve and standardise purchasing
• Carry out spot checks on site to ensure work meets contract terms and services are delivered
• Prepare, manage and evaluate requests for quotations, tenders and price comparisons for construction and maintenance services
• Negotiate prices, framework agreements and contract amendments with service providers and suppliers
• Regularly assess key service providers and identify measures to improve their performance
• Develop purchasing standards, processes and reports for technical and construction services
• Ensure internal purchasing and ordering processes are followed, working closely with the relevant departments

• Completed vocational training or a degree in a technical or construction-related field
• Several years of experience purchasing construction, maintenance or technical services for petrol stations
• Knowledge of tendering, comparing quotations and negotiating contracts
• Confident use of MS Office
• Very good spoken and written German
• Knowledge of relevant construction rules and common safety standards is desirable
• Analytical thinking and a structured approach to work
• A practical approach and good time management
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness and the ability to work in a team
