High Voltage Test Engineer

PFISTERER is seeking a test engineer for its HVDC analytical laboratories in Winterbach, starting in February 2027. The company develops connection technology for the energy industry and supports the move to renewable energy and the expansion of electricity grids.

• Coordinate, plan, carry out and monitor research and development, design and type tests on new and existing products and prototypes in internal and external test laboratories
• Act as the contact person for test setups and equipment in the routine testing area and oversee their use
• Create test programs that meet international and customer-specific standards
• Prepare and develop test reports and technical documentation
• Ensure test equipment and measuring instruments are maintained, serviced and calibrated
• Develop the company's testing infrastructure and carry out various repair and maintenance tasks
• Monitor and implement safety rules

• Completed bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on high voltage engineering
• Experience conducting high voltage tests using AC, DC and impulse voltage, and performing partial discharge diagnostics
• Strong initiative and personal responsibility, with an independent and reliable approach to work
• A focus on solutions and business needs, with analytical skills and a practical approach to thinking and working
• Practical skills and enjoyment of hands-on work
• Enjoyment of direct contact with customers and service providers at home and abroad
• Willingness to travel
• Very good German and good English, both spoken and written
