About this Apprenticeship
Are you a dental technician, goldsmith, watchmaker, precision mechanic, model maker or come from a similar profession where fine motor skills, precision and craftsmanship are required? Then you have the opportunity with us to apply your skills in a new and meaningful field: orthopedic shoe technology. With us you combine traditional craftsmanship with modern materials and orthopedic technical know-how. You manufacture individual aids such as insoles and footbeds and thus help to alleviate discomfort, improve movement sequences and increase the quality of life of our customers.
What You'll Learn
Production and adaptation of individual insoles and footbeds: You work on individual fittings and learn how custom-fit orthopedic aids are created from modern materials. Precise manual work: Grinding, milling, shaping, fitting and careful processing belong to your varied daily work. Individual adjustments: Every fitting is different – you work carefully and detail-oriented so that the aid is optimally adapted to the needs of our customers. Repairs and modifications: You rework existing fittings and carry out necessary adjustments professionally. Quality check: You carefully inspect your work before the finished aids are handed over to our customers. Workshop organization: Order, hygiene, safety and professional handling of materials and tools are also part of your area of responsibility.
