About this Apprenticeship

As a Solution Architect, you connect strategic programme management with development teams to create highly available solutions. You oversee complex systems worldwide for international plant engineering programmes. This is a permanent, full-time position.

What You'll Learn

Analyse customer requirements and define and refine functional and non-functional architecture requirements.
Design complex software systems and divide the overall architecture into manageable parts.
Analyse the market, assess new technologies and initiate decisions on whether to develop or buy software components.
Act as the main contact and link between technical development and project or product management.
Monitor and ensure correct implementation of the architecture within your area of responsibility.
Analyse specific weaknesses and performance issues to improve the system.
Prepare the required technical process and architecture documentation, such as Software Architecture Design.

Requirements

A completed master's degree in Computer Science or a similar subject
Extensive professional experience in designing system or software architectures
Extensive experience working on large projects
Several years of experience providing technical leadership to teams from different disciplines
Very good written and spoken English
Direct management and technical leadership of highly qualified staff
Several years of international experience in plant engineering or the defence industry
A confident manner and strong communication skills at every level of the company
Willingness to travel worldwide
