Cyber Security Consultant

Since 2022, Schönhofer Sales and Engineering has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG. As an innovative systems and software house, the company develops solutions for government agencies and public-sector clients. In the role of Senior Cyber Security Consultant, you look at Security as a Service and support ongoing and new projects from a security perspective. Full-time, permanent.

• You independently lead information security projects, including resource planning, scheduling and reporting.
• You support and create BSI-compliant information security concepts for military and public IT projects.
• You carry out protection requirement assessments, risk analyses and gap analyses according to BSI IT-Grundschutz and ISO 27001.
• You assess and classify security risks and derive prioritised recommendations for action.
• You assess compliance requirements from NIS-2, the EU AI Act, GDPR, BDSG and other frameworks.
• You provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring for security consultants and early-career professionals.
• You take part in the security assessment of AI-based systems in defense and government contexts.

• You have a completed degree in computer science, information technology, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
• You bring at least 3-5 years of professional experience in information security, ideally in the public sector or defense environment.
• You have in-depth knowledge of BSI IT-Grundschutz (BSI Standards 200-1 to 200-4, Grundschutz Compendium).
• You have knowledge of ISO 27001 and supplementary standards (ISO 27005, BSI C5, ISO 27701).
• Knowledge of KRITIS regulation (BSIG, NIS-2 Implementation Act) and critical infrastructure is an advantage.
• You have strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management level.
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile.
