Claims Handler General Liability Claims Individual, Office-Based

R+V, one of the largest insurers in Germany, is looking for a claims handler in the Operations and IT division to handle complex general liability insurance claims in an office-based role.

• Professionally handle complex claims in general liability insurance
• Check coverage and liability and settle claims within existing authority after the customer centers register the claim
• Work with and commission service providers and external loss adjusters, and conduct written and phone negotiations with customers, sales partners and third parties
• Support civil proceedings and independent evidence preservation procedures
• Pursue possible recourse claims and watch for suspicious claims
• After onboarding, also handle claims in architects' liability insurance
• If interested, get involved in specialist and cross-functional topics and projects

• Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) or training as insurance and finance clerk / specialist (m/f/d)
• Ideally claims experience in general liability insurance
• Enthusiasm for teamwork and supporting customers when a claim occurs
• Good written and spoken expression paired with negotiation skills
• Team spirit, service mindset and an independent, structured way of working
