Trainee social insurance specialist

Training at SBK, advising customers within the healthcare system and contributing to digital solutions for customer service. The training offers varied tasks and a strong career foundation in healthcare.

Advising and supporting customers by telephone, in person and in writing; communicating with insured persons, doctors, hospitals, employers and authorities; checking benefit entitlements, calculating contributions and clarifying insurance questions; applying laws in practice; representing SBK and gaining new customers.

Empathy, communication skills and sensitivity when dealing with different personalities; the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and a willingness to help customers; interest in healthcare, business and law; openness to digital developments such as artificial intelligence; willingness to contribute ideas and help shape improvements; at least an intermediate secondary school certificate, advanced technical college entrance qualification or Abitur, together with business-fluent German. University dropouts and career changers are welcome.

Personal support from training mentors and trainee partners, plus an introductory seminar; a 38-hour week with flexible working hours and training pay of €1,303 in the first, €1,365 in the second and €1,444 in the third year; 30 days of annual leave, special leave for examinations and mobile working by arrangement; learning time counted as working time, a high chance of continued employment and further training opportunities; health management programs; a Deutschlandticket as a job ticket; collectively agreed additional benefits such as holiday pay, employee discounts, occupational pension provision and an SBK laptop.
