Internship as Digital Engineer in 'Industrial Metaverse'

Schaeffler is an international technology group with the culture of a family business and a partner to all major automobile manufacturers. The basic requirement for the internship is proof of enrollment at the time of the internship. The position is available from 1 September 2026 for a period of 3 to 6 months.

• Contribute to the development and analysis of innovative production and logistics concepts in 'Advanced Production Concepts'
• Independent design and development of digital tools in the context of efficient digital engineering for production design (incl. logistics)
• Help realize autonomous use cases in the 'Production Technology & Innovation Center' of the Schaeffler Group
• Research and systematic preparation of information focused on (semi-) autonomous production design, planning and control
• Support in day-to-day operations and project work

• Studies in production engineering, logistics, computer science, industrial engineering or a comparable field
• Interest and passion for innovative solutions for the production and logistics of the future
• Sound knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C, C+ desirable
• Basic knowledge of digital engineering including use of relevant software, e.g. 3DExperience, Visual Components, NVIDIA Omniverse desirable
• Confident use of MS Office
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
• High level of initiative as well as analytical and organizational skills
• Independent, careful and structured way of working
