Agricultural Science Thesis on Capacity Utilization of AM Profi Large-Area Spreader – Joint Project with Streumaster Maschinenbau GmbH

Optimization of the capacity utilization of the AM Profi large-area spreader from Streumaster, taking into account the special requirements of a Carbokalk spreading group in the Südzucker catchment area. Streumaster Maschinenbau GmbH develops and sells large-area spreaders focusing on fertilizer lime application. The new AM Profi machine generation is currently in development and field testing, with market launch planned for 2027. A key innovation is a completely revised spreading mechanism, which achieved effective spreading widths of up to 15 m in initial trials with Carbokalk. Südzucker AG produces Carbokalk in its sugar factories and delivers it to the field edges of farmers, where contracted entrepreneurs spread it according to farmers' wishes. Südzucker places high demands on spreading quality. Streumaster and Südzucker have collaborated for decades to advance spreading technology. The thesis will investigate how far the new Streumaster machine series improves maximum area performance and profitability for Carbokalk application while maintaining defined spreading quality. Field trials will determine the actually achievable spreading width with Carbokalk and its impact on performance and efficiency. The research question can be further specified in coordination with the student and the supervising university.
