Environmental Qualification Engineer

• Accompanying development projects from the start and independently managing environment-related topics from development through proof to market launch
• Conducting environmental tests for new developments and existing devices based on requirements or military standards, national and international norms
• Creation of technical test documentation as well as measurement and test setups; independent creation and review of system descriptions and requirement documents, including support in proposal preparation
• Supporting development in the evaluation of standard-compliant material selection, layout and construction as well as in the creation of cost, resource and schedule estimates for the area of environmental tests
• Coordination of internal and external technical cooperation in close coordination with project management

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, electronics or comparable advanced training with several years of professional experience
• Ideally two years of professional experience in environmental testing (shock, temperature, EMC, etc.) as well as in dealing with harmonized standards, EU directives and approval criteria for military equipment; additionally experience in measurement technology and basic knowledge in electronics development
• Confident handling of relevant standards and norms, independent identification, careful execution and gapless documentation of environmental tests/laboratory work
• Application of common tools and scripting languages (e.g. LabView, Python) as well as basic knowledge in requirements and test management (DOORS, JIRA, Redmine) for process optimization
• High degree of identification with the work, passionate team player, pronounced independence and initiative as well as very good German and good English skills in word and writing
