Technical Specialist, Electrical and Control Systems for Combined-Cycle Gas Turbines

Uniper is seeking a technical specialist for electrical and control systems at its West Power Plant Group in Gelsenkirchen. This permanent full-time role covers the planning, coordination and monitoring of maintenance work and the technical support of plant systems.

Complying with and further developing the workplace safety culture and conducting safety inspections for partner companies; planning, coordinating, carrying out and monitoring maintenance and servicing orders in SAP; preparing specifications and technical bid comparisons and supporting tender decisions; assisting with medium-term planning and risk assessments; coordinating fault analyses and optimisation measures; managing the construction power network; planning and supporting short- and medium-term maintenance programmes; coordinating, controlling costs and quality for additional measures and technically reviewing partner-company deliveries and services; planning and monitoring work and inspections required by authorities; assuming responsibility for assigned electrical and control systems during scheduled shutdowns and overhauls.

Master craftsperson or technician qualification in electrical engineering; knowledge of generators, motors, transformers, switchgear, frequency converters, protection systems, process control systems and programmable logic controllers; experience with SAP-PM/WCM and MS Office; strong self-motivation and sense of responsibility; willingness to work weekends, take on on-call duties and travel; openness to new technologies; medical fitness under occupational health assessments and risk analysis; strong commitment to workplace safety.
