Apprenticeship as Animal Caretaker (m/f/d) Start: August 2027 From 01.08.2027 we start again with the apprenticeship as Animal Caretaker (m/f/d) – and maybe together with you? What awaits you: Dual apprenticeship You learn both with us in the Experimental Center of the Medical Faculty Dresden, as well as at the vocational school – practice and theory go hand in hand. Duration: 3 years Vocational school: State Vocational School Center Ansbach-Triesdorf

• Care and feeding of laboratory animals under barrier conditions
• You are actively involved in animal experiments and trials
• In addition, you take sample material and take care of mucking out, cleaning and disinfection of enclosures and cages
• Another part consists of identifying the animals, documenting their stocks and checking them

• A good Realschulabschluss or equivalent qualification
• Team spirit, reliability and desire for new things
• Interest and joy in practical work with animals is important
• Physical resilience and no allergies to animal and plant substances are required
• Perhaps already first experiences in a similar area
• Medically fit for the profession
• If you come from abroad, we additionally need:
• Language certificate (German B2)
• Recognition of your school leaving certificate by the State Office for School and Education Saxony
