Dual apprenticeship You learn with us both in various internal and external assignments and at the vocational school – practice and theory go hand in hand. Duration: 1.5 years Vocational school: Carus Akademie UKD – Alemannenstraße 14, 01309 Dresden

• Assisting in the nursing care of people of all age groups under the guidance of qualified nursing staff, e.g. with personal hygiene, mobilization and food intake
• Participating in treatment care, such as vital sign monitoring, wound care and documentation of nursing measures
• Promoting the well-being of those in need of care through empathetic care, conversations and recording their health status
• Advising patients and relatives
• Guiding people towards self-care
• Evaluating basic nursing measures
• Conducting handovers
• Collaborating in an interdisciplinary team

• A secondary school diploma (Hauptschulabschluss) or equivalent qualification
• Access to apprenticeship without school diploma is only possible after an aptitude interview by the training provider
• Proof of medical fitness for the profession, not older than three months at the time of application
• Team spirit, reliability and enthusiasm for new things
• Nursing experience is desirable
• If you come from abroad, we additionally require:
• German language certificate (B2)
• If the school diploma was obtained in the country of origin, we need recognition from the State Office for School and Education Saxony.
