Specialist Nurse Anesthesia or ATA Practical Training Instructor Paramedic Clinical Training | IRuN

To improve the clinical training of paramedics at UKSH, we are looking for reinforcement for a joint team from the Institute for Rescue and Emergency Medicine (IRuN) and the Functional Service Anesthesia in Nursing Area IV or the Service Center OR at Campus Kiel. The Institute for Rescue and Emergency Medicine (IRuN) at UKSH is the largest emergency medicine institute in Schleswig-Holstein and is responsible — besides quality assurance of internal clinical emergency medicine at UKSH — for the clinical training of paramedics at the University Hospital. For this purpose, a modern training and simulation center, several simulation vehicles and a variety of modern simulation phantoms are available. In the Functional Service Anesthesia in Nursing Area IV or the Service Center OR, you will care for patients before, during and after anesthesia across the entire spectrum of surgical disciplines at Campus Kiel — and simultaneously serve as the professional reference person for the trainees whom you will accompany within the framework of practical training.

• Full-time practical training
• Planning, organization and implementation of targeted practical instructions for paramedic trainees in clinical training sections (e.g. anesthesia / intensive care medicine)
• Ensuring achievement of objectives according to curriculum and applicable training requirements (learning objective planning, competence development)
• Documentation, feedback and assessment interviews, learning status surveys; promotion of individual development processes
• Cooperation with cooperation partners, UKSH training management, ward and functional area teams as well as other (supervisory) practical instructors
• Participation in the further development of practical training (standards, instruction concepts, evaluation) Nursing or functional service anesthesia
• Specialist nursing care of patients in anesthesia and intensive care nursing or anesthesiological functional service (depending on deployment area/focus on site)
• Participation in patient-oriented processes, quality assurance and interprofessional cooperation
• Role model in daily clinical practice (professional, communicative, safety-oriented) — explicitly also in the context of training

Completed training as a nursing specialist (or equivalent) or completed training as an anesthesia technical assistant (ATA) — the latter only for deployment in the functional service anesthesia Advanced training in anesthesia and/or intensive care nursing or alternatively several years of relevant professional experience in anesthesia and/or intensive care nursing Vocational pedagogical additional qualification as a practical instructor with a minimum of 300 hours or a comparable qualification Several years of practical experience in anesthesia and/or intensive care nursing; confident mastery of professional standards Didactic understanding, structured work, reliability; clear communication skills (even in challenging situations) and joy in two roles: professionally managing training and being clinically active
