About this Apprenticeship
The position is at the University Hospital Tübingen, Department of Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine. The Sports Medicine department works in clinical care, research and teaching and combines the main disciplines of internal medicine and orthopedics. As a testing center licensed by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), medical care of competitive and elite athletes is also a core task.
What You'll Learn
- Independent work in the outpatient clinic registration area, focusing on patient admission, administration and appointment scheduling
- Organizing clinic workflow as well as keeping patient statistics and maintaining records
- Handling phone and written inquiries
- Processing orders
- Performing blood draws, vision tests, resting ECGs, spirometry and ergometry
Requirements
- Completed training as a medical assistant (MFA)
- Friendly and confident manner and enjoyment of working with people
- Strong commitment as well as a high degree of initiative and sense of responsibility
- Reliable, flexible and resilient way of working
- Good English skills, spoken and written
- Good IT skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel) and SAP
