Apprenticeship Medical Assistant

Training as a medical assistant (MFA) qualifies you for varied work in the medical field. MFAs assist with medical treatments, handle administrative tasks and care for patients. During training you work in different departments of the hospital.

• Schedule appointments and enter data using IT systems
• Operate software programs and hospital information systems
• Prepare prescriptions
• Provide instruments and medication for medical treatments
• Administer medication and injections as instructed by doctors
• Care for patients, inform them about procedures and support doctors during treatments
• Take blood samples, insert catheters, treat wounds, apply bandages, record ECGs and much more
• Get to know different conditions and therapy options and forms

• German level B2 (B2 certificate required if school qualification is not German)
• Good Hauptschulabschluss, Realschulabschluss or (Fach-)Abitur
• Preferably of legal age
• Ability to approach people in a friendly and caring way
• Enjoy teamwork
• Reliability and excellent communication skills
