Construction Technician for Building Management and Maintenance

Frankfurt's municipal transport company, VGF, is seeking a construction technician for building management and maintenance in Frankfurt am Main. The company operates the city's underground and tram services and supports personal and professional development, diversity and equal opportunities.

• Plan and deliver construction projects across all HOAI service phases, from 1 to 9
• Plan, monitor and manage building upkeep, maintenance and repair work on VGF properties
• Represent the client and take responsibility for the technical direction, coordination, supervision and support of planning services provided by external architects, engineers and fire safety experts, as well as construction work by external specialist companies
• Keep track of budgets and schedules for building upkeep work
• Carry out construction supervision duties and oversee implementation on site
• Manage smaller construction projects independently and on your own responsibility
• Handle enquiries from local advisory councils, residents and other institutions and act as a knowledgeable contact
• Use the available software to monitor maintenance deadlines and ensure they are met

• Completed technical vocational training, ideally with many years of experience overseeing building, civil engineering, structural engineering or transport infrastructure projects
• Preferably knowledge of the relevant rules and contract procedures, especially HOAI and VOB
• Experience with building upkeep, maintenance and repairs in building, civil and structural engineering is an advantage
• Confident use of maintenance planning software
• Technical expertise, commitment, flexibility and resilience, together with a structured and independent approach to work
• Strong organizational skills that enable you to coordinate and motivate internal and external project participants and guide them towards shared goals
• Additional qualifications and willingness to undertake further professional training
