Technical Employee in Commissioning and Inspection of Rail Vehicles

Support the commissioning and technical acceptance of modern rail vehicles at VGF. A structured induction by experienced colleagues helps you get up to speed step by step.

• You help with commissioning, inspection and technical acceptance of trams, light rail vehicles and rail-bound work vehicles and carry out test, trial and inspection runs
• You check and assess modern driver assistance, safety and diagnostic systems; you record, evaluate and properly document driving results and test values
• You take measurements on complex electrical and mechatronic vehicle systems and handle systematic troubleshooting and fault diagnosis with modern measuring and test equipment
• You actively support root cause analysis and lasting fault repair and finally carry out final inspections and technical acceptances according to the applicable test regulations
• Adjustment and calibration work based on circuit diagrams, standard sheets and technical documents is also part of your duties
• You contribute your technical know-how to type tests, vehicle modernizations and approval projects
• You take an active part in selecting and introducing suitable measuring and test equipment

• You have successfully completed training as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician, industrial electrician or a comparable technical qualification
• Ideally you already have experience in rail vehicle maintenance or technical quality assurance
• You bring an interest in modern vehicle technology and innovative mobility solutions
• You enjoy working in a team, act responsibly and approach tasks independently and solution-oriented
• Shift work and occasional business trips are no obstacle for you
• You hold a class B driving licence and are willing to obtain the driving permit for our rail vehicles according to Plan C
