BIM Information Manager for Projects

VGF is aligning its planning, construction and operating processes with the BIM method. In this central role you shape BIM-based information management for infrastructure and construction projects and ensure the quality, consistency and availability of information across the project lifecycle. The position sits in the Project and Building Management division.

• You develop, maintain and implement employer information requirements (AIA) for infrastructure and building construction projects
• You are responsible for professional support and quality assurance of BIM delivery by planning offices, contractors and other project participants
• You check BIM execution plans (BAP), information deliveries and models for completeness, consistency and contract conformity
• As the central contact on the client side, you coordinate information provision and data exchange within the Common Data Environment (CDE)
• You ensure structured data handover to operator and asset systems (e.g. CAFM, GIS, EAM/IP) and support building and maintaining the Asset Information Model (AIM)
• You actively contribute to creating and developing BIM standards, templates, guidelines and checking processes
• Our project managers support and advise you on all questions of digital information management
• You independently carry out evaluations, quality checks and reporting in the BIM context
• You also contribute to digitalisation projects, as-built surveys and Scan2BIM measures
• You run training sessions on the BIM method and digital processes

• You have successfully completed a degree in civil engineering, architecture, infrastructure management, geoinformatics or a comparable technical field
• You already bring several years of professional experience in the BIM field and in digital information and data management for infrastructure or construction projects
• You are very familiar with the relevant rules and standards such as DIN EN ISO 19650, VDI 2552 and BIM4INFRA
• Experience in creating and implementing employer information requirements (AIA) and in reviewing BIM execution plans (BAP) sets you apart
• You are familiar with OpenBIM processes, IFC, BCF and Common Data Environments (CDE)
• You use BIM and checking software such as Solibri, Navisworks, BIMCollab or Revit as confidently as Microsoft 365
• Ideally you also have knowledge of CAFM, GIS, EAM or asset management systems
• You combine a structured, analytical and solution-oriented way of working with strong communication and coordination skills
• Your very good German skills in speaking and writing round off your profile; English skills are an advantage
