Specialist General Ledger

Managing the general ledger of one or more group companies (accounting support) at the Villeroy & Boch Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers in the ceramics and lifestyle sector.

• Carrying out daily bookkeeping and monthly, quarterly and annual closing entries and activities, considering the relevant accounting rules (IFRS and local)
• Preparing the annual financial statements including notes and management report (IFRS and local)
• Analyzing and reviewing closing-relevant matters such as provision reports
• Analyzing and documenting financial data including preparation and presentation
• Developing group-wide work instructions / standards and process descriptions
• Contact person for accounting questions
• Project work: Supporting process introductions, optimizations and automation within the general ledger
• Supporting the development and implementation of group standards
• Depending on the role: SAP power user, calculation and posting of all business transactions, fixed asset accounting, monthly group-wide order settlement, bank accounting & CO cost allocation

• Commercial training with additional professional qualification as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
• Sound accounting expertise under HGB and IFRS
• Confident application of accounting standards under HGB, AktG, IFRS
• Sound knowledge of SAP R3 modules FI, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA, PCA
• Understanding of the specific requirements of management reporting
• Knowledge of international accounting
• Sound VAT knowledge
• Very good MS Office skills
• Analytical thinking
• At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting / general ledger
• Business-fluent English
• Further language skills an advantage
