About this Apprenticeship
Work at Vossloh on new solutions for sustainable transport. The role covers electrical assembly, wiring, testing and bringing special purpose machines into operation.
What You'll Learn
- Assemble and wire the electrical systems of special purpose machines, assemblies and control cabinets
- Install electrical, electronic and electromechanical components using wiring diagrams and technical documents
- Test machines and equipment and bring them into operation
- Carry out function tests, measurements and fault analysis
- Find and fix electrical faults
- Record completed work and test results
- Help with modifications, equipment upgrades and technical improvements
- Work with the mechanical, design, project management and commissioning teams
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in industrial electrical engineering, automation electronics, mechatronics or industrial electrical work, or a comparable qualification
- Experience in machine or plant construction is an advantage
- Confidence reading wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and technical documents
- Knowledge of control cabinet wiring and the installation of sensors and actuators
- Experience finding faults and carrying out electrical tests
- An independent, organised approach with a focus on quality
- A strong sense of safety and responsibility
