Buyer

In your role as a buyer (all genders), you work closely with suppliers for our Mönchengladbach location and help build strong business relationships while clearly communicating expectations and strategies. You use your understanding of product group strategies to manage these interactions and administer the request-to-order (RTO) process. In doing so, you support the specialist department and contribute to optimizing the systems that ensure a smooth process.

• You manage the request-to-order process for indirect goods and services, take on sourcing and onboarding, and conduct negotiations with our partners
• Translating business requirements into concrete sourcing activities is also part of your tasks, as is providing solutions to achieve our targets
• You advise specialist departments on procurement tools such as eCatalogs to continuously increase the degree of automation
• Together with experienced team members, you define and implement forward-looking product group strategies
• You handle operational and strategic issues, thus contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes

• You have sound knowledge in the field of purchasing and bring experience in managing tenders
• Your communication is confident and precise, both in German and English; additional language skills are a plus
• A basic technical understanding and enjoyment of working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team characterize you
• You have the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and have an eye for process improvements as well as a strong customer orientation
