Restricted Environments Infrastructure Operations Specialist Germany

To support the EIITHI Infrastructure Technologies department, Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth is looking for a Restricted Environments Infrastructure Operations Specialist. Driven by rising cyber threats and strict regulations, the restricted environments are expanding rapidly to protect critical operations. The role within Hosting & Cloud Services (PSL Infrastructure Services) offers responsibility, full mentorship from experts and close collaboration with the French counterpart.

• Change Governance: Act as gatekeeper for system updates by reviewing and validating all technical change requests before implementation.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Maintain the cybersecurity status of the platforms, guard against configuration drift and ensure systems strictly meet regulatory compliance standards.
• Operational & Lifecycle Delivery: Coordinate daily incident resolution and track platform lifecycles to proactively counter component obsolescence.
• Contract Steering: Manage external service providers who carry out routine, hands-on technical operations.
• Governance & Cross-Border Collaboration: Take part in Service Management Board (SMB) meetings and partner closely with the German restricted environments team to harmonize operational methods.

• Completed degree in IT or a comparable field of study

• Technical stack awareness:
• Virtualization: Basic understanding of VMware, Nutanix or Hyper-V infrastructures.
• Operating systems: Experience with Windows and Linux, plus awareness of Unix systems (AIX, Solaris).
• Databases & management: Familiarity with Oracle, MS SQL and centralized patching platforms (SCCM, RedHat Satellite, WSUS).
• Storage: Basic concepts of NetApp NAS architectures.
• Soft skills: Vigilant approach to security and compliance, strong organizational skills and clear communication skills in a collaborative, multi-site environment.
