About this Apprenticeship
The training as a road maintenance worker is versatile and varied. For example, you check roadways, guardrails, and bridges for damage, repair and asphalt them. You also take care of green maintenance and ensure clear roads on our autobahns in winter. Autobahn without a driver's license? Not with us! That's why we pay for your driver's licenses of classes B (car), C, and CE (truck with trailer) during your training.

Requirements
- Willingness to learn, commitment, and readiness to perform
- Reliability, teamwork, and initiative
- Manual dexterity and technical understanding
- At least intermediate school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss)
- At least satisfactory grades in German, Mathematics, and Physics/Technology or Natural Sciences
- Physical resilience for driving vehicles and for physical work outdoors in all seasons
What Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes offers
- You are part of the team from day one. Our trainers support you in a partnership-based manner, which is why we also guarantee your takeover (according to TV-Nachwuchskräfte Autobahn).
- You receive a good training allowance according to our in-house collective agreement: 1st year: 1,418.26 Euro / 2nd year: 1,468.20 Euro / 3rd year: 1,514.02 Euro, an annual special payment, and a completion bonus.
- You get 30 + 1 days of annual leave and paid leave for exam preparation.
- We pay for your driver's licenses of classes B (car), C, and CE (truck with trailer) after the probationary period.
- We also pay for all learning and training materials.
- You also receive your stylish orange work clothing, and we even take care of the free laundry service for you.
