Senior Team Leader

As the primary digitalization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, secure and efficient IT services at home and abroad, from basic operations to deployment-related areas, thus contributing to the continuous enhancement of the Bundeswehr's leadership and operational capabilities. With over 8,000 colleagues, we operate and modernize one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who want to further develop the Bundeswehr IT out of conviction in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. The Service Center Berlin ensures decentralized service provision for over 50 locations as well as a permanent representation of BWI GmbH on site at the Bundeswehr properties. In addition, the Service Center processes defined work packages within the framework of projects.

• Technical leadership and coordination of a team with 10 employees
• Participation in the technical assessment of employees
• Planning and implementation of empowerment and training of employees
• SLA-compliant service delivery, including monitoring and implementation of service provision, ensuring service levels and process optimization e.g. through support of quality management measures
• Execution of operational planning and participation in all on-site activities and their control in the area of responsibility
• Ensuring project goals and process flows
• Representation of BWI in daily business as contact person for users, IT managers, projects, service providers and external companies
• Participation / design of internal and external workshops with central units of BWI and Bundeswehr
• Design and further development of operational tools and processes as well as participation as technical expert
• Support of change management in the area

• Completed vocational training in information technology/electrical engineering or comparable and additional training (certified specialist, technician, master craftsman) or completed subject-related university degree
• Approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience as a certified specialist, technician or master craftsman (with relevant additional qualification) or 2 years of relevant professional experience after graduation
• Sound knowledge of ticket systems, configuration management, database (CMDB)/asset management systems as well as experience in work planning and control
• Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL, maintenance and creation of knowledge databases (e.g. BeWiki)
• Experience in staff management
• Experience in change management an advantage
• Willingness to undertake regular business trips
