About this Apprenticeship
As a software developer (f/m/d) focusing on COBOL in the commissions area, you take on an important role in an experienced team maintaining and further developing Debeka's central commission system. The applications form the basis for the correct and transparent pay of the employees working in sales.
What You'll Learn
- Development, maintenance and optimization of the existing commission system in COBOL
- Turning business and technical requirements into robust and efficient software solutions
- Carrying out error analysis, bug fixing and performance optimization
- Creating technical documentation and maintaining existing system documents
- Design and implementation of relational databases
- Carrying out tests
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training / degree with an IT background
- Solid experience in COBOL development
- Confident use of version control, deployment processes and testing methods
- Analytical thinking and a structured, independent way of working
- Ability to understand and further develop complex legacy systems
- Commitment and teamwork skills
