Technician / Master Craftsperson as an Occupational Safety Specialist

The health protection department provides services across Germany in occupational health and safety, construction site safety coordination, organizational fire protection and hazardous substances. Its work also includes inspections of playgrounds, sports facilities and leisure facilities.

• Advise customers on workplace design, work processes and the use of equipment and materials, taking account of Section 6 of the German Occupational Safety Act and DGUV requirements
• Use your expertise to define suitable measures to prevent workplace and health hazards, and carry out and document risk assessments
• Deliver occupational safety training and help select personal protective equipment
• Investigate workplace accidents and determine their causes
• Use your network to maintain contact with occupational safety authorities and accident insurance providers and expand your customer base

• Qualification as a master craftsperson in a trade or industry, a technician qualification, or alternatively a degree in engineering, natural sciences or a comparable field
• At least two years of professional experience after completing the qualification
• Specialist knowledge under Section 7 of the German Occupational Safety Act or qualification as an occupational safety specialist
• Additional qualifications as a fire safety officer or playground inspector are desirable
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong writing skills to produce informative and precise documentation and reports
• An independent, responsible, collaborative and service-oriented approach to work
• Category B driving licence and willingness to carry out local field work
