Apprenticeship as Track Builder 2027

A 3-year apprenticeship as a track builder starts on August 1, 2027, with DB InfraGO AG in Mainz. Vocational classes take place in blocks in Ludwigshafen. The training workshop is in Frankfurt (Main) during the first year and in Ludwigshafen during the second and third years. Practical assignments take place on early and late shifts.

• Work outdoors with your team on track construction sites
• Lay new rails and points, inspect them for damage, and replace broken parts
• Renew the ballast under the tracks using modern machinery
• Check that all measurements are correct so trains can run smoothly and safely
• Help ensure that trains operate reliably every day

• You have successfully completed school, or will do so soon, and your school-leaving qualification is recognized in Germany
• Your German language skills are at least at B2 level
• You prefer working outdoors rather than sitting at a desk
• You are motivated and reliable
• You enjoy teamwork and like getting hands-on
