IT Service Continuity Manager

Our focus lies on Business Continuity Management, IT Service Continuity Management, Third-Party Risk Management (including Central Outsourcing Management), and DORA ICT Risk Control Function. As IT Service Continuity Manager (m/f/d), you assume a key role in ensuring IT emergency preparedness for our on-premise IT operations and future cloud operations, actively contributing to the practical and effective implementation of regulatory requirements.

Control of ICT emergency preparedness: You plan and control the decentralized tasks of the ICT annual calendar regarding IT emergency preparedness and advise the 1st Line of Defense on implementation. This includes, among other things, the creation and testing of ICT restart and recovery plans according to DORA. In this context, planning and coordination of data center failure tests also belong to your area of responsibility. You critically evaluate technical concepts – such as redundancy and replication architectures, backup and restore procedures, and compliance with RTO/RPO requirements – and actively contribute this perspective to the design of future cloud operations. Implementation: Your area of responsibility also includes the technical support of the ICT risk control function in the context of IT emergency preparedness and adjacent areas such as emergency management, outsourcing and third-party risk management, and information security. Reporting: You are responsible for regular reporting on the status of IT emergency preparedness, create meaningful reports on progress and quality, and present these at various hierarchical levels. Strategy & Practice: You contribute to the further development of the resilience strategy with regard to IT emergency preparedness and the ICT risk control function and translate regulatory requirements, particularly from DORA, into viable operational measures. Regulation: You monitor new and changed regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA Level 2 requirements or supervisory publications), assess their impact on ICT emergency preparedness, and are responsible for independent implementation. You accompany internal and external audits in the ITSCM environment as a competent contact person and control the processing of findings. Advisory: You advise the 2nd Line of Defense on the design and further development of guidelines, processes, and procedures in the context of existing and new regulatory requirements.

You have comprehensive experience in IT Service Continuity Management and emergency management, ideally in the role of ITSCM Manager. You have already independently assumed responsibility for implementing corresponding measures. Ideally, you also bring advanced technical knowledge from IT operations, particularly regarding data center infrastructure, network, storage, backup and recovery, virtualization, and high-availability and replication concepts. You are familiar with regulatory requirements from DORA, BSI Standard 200-4, and other relevant frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework; practical implementation experience is especially important to us. We welcome relevant certifications in information security or IT governance – e.g., ITIL, CISA, CISM, ITGM, CGEIT, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or CISSP. You have very good knowledge of dealing with audits and have ideally conducted audits yourself. You also feel confident in project management and have preferably already assumed technical leadership responsibility. Whether orally or in writing – you speak fluent German (C1) and have good English skills (B2). With your strong communication and presentation skills, you can present complex topics understandably and convincingly, representing your topics clearly even in demanding coordination situations and showing constructive ways forward.
