Site Technician, Bergum

ENGIE is looking for a Site Technician in Bergum to connect technical work, safety and daily operations. You help keep the power station safe, reliable and ready to produce energy flexibly. This is a day-shift role with participation in the on-call rota.

• Operate equipment, perform operational checks and help keep the power station producing safely, reliably and efficiently.
• Analyse faults, resolve minor disruptions independently and involve maintenance providers for further action where needed.
• Make equipment sections safe, issue work permits and monitor the safety of work on site.
• Update operating instructions and procedures and ensure they are practical for daily operations.
• Manage the warehouse, keep stock, materials and tools organised, and ensure inspections happen on time.
• Support the site in a wide range of tasks, from supervising contractors and suppliers to joining the on-call rota.

• You have technical knowledge, work carefully and take responsibility for a safe and tidy workplace.
• You can act independently and actively work with colleagues, maintenance providers and contractors.
• A technical vocational qualification, such as AOT, REWIC-A or a similar qualification
• Relevant experience in a technical, operational or production environment and practical skills to operate production equipment safely
• Willingness and ability to join the on-call rota and obtain crane, aerial work platform and forklift certificates
• Preferably experience in making equipment safe, work permits and analysing technical faults
• Preferably knowledge of stock control, warehouse processes, and tool inspection and registration
• A valid workplace emergency response certificate or willingness to obtain one
• You work safely and carefully, even when quick action is needed.
• You maintain an overview and set clear priorities between operations, faults, safety and support tasks.
• You independently handle tasks in this broad role combining technical work, organisation and practical support, and coordinate with others promptly when needed.
• You communicate clearly and work well with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
• You actively suggest improvements and help keep instructions and work processes clear and practical.
