Gerontopsychiatry Multiplier

As a Gerontopsychiatry Multiplier at MÜNCHENSTIFT, you support the provision of person-centered, professionally sound, and evidence-based care for residents with gerontopsychiatric conditions, especially people with dementia. You take on a central advisory, coordinating, and quality-assurance role and accompany the staff of the living areas as well as the professional groups involved in care and support processes in their professional development. In doing so, you combine gerontopsychiatric expertise with an appreciative, person-centered attitude.

• Professional advice and support for staff in the person-centered care of people with gerontopsychiatric conditions, especially dementia
• Support with care anamnesis, care planning, evaluation, case discussions, and development of understanding hypotheses
• Counseling on dealing with challenging behavior, mental health issues, and crisis situations, and promotion of preventive and de-escalating measures
• Promotion of a dementia-sensitive, person-centered, and resource-oriented environment and individual daily life design
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, therapists, relatives, and internal and external cooperation partners
• Planning and conducting training sessions, short further education courses, and practical instructions, and conveying gerontopsychiatric expertise
• Participation in the implementation of expert standards and the further development of gerontopsychiatric concepts, standards, and care quality
• Participation in quality circles and meeting structures, proper documentation, and situational assumption of nursing, care, and medically ordered tasks

• Completed training as a nursing specialist, geriatric nurse, or health and pediatric nurse, or a comparable nursing science university degree, e.g., B.A. Applied Nursing Science/Nursing
• Completed further training in gerontopsychiatry or a comparable qualification
• Sound knowledge of current nursing science findings, relevant expert standards, and gerontopsychiatric concepts
• Confident handling of care processes, structural models, and digital care documentation
• Strong communication and counseling skills
• Enjoyment and ability in peer guidance and knowledge transfer
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
• Organizational talent and an independent, structured way of working
• Capacity for reflection and willingness to engage in continuous further education
• An appreciative, person-centered, and resource-oriented attitude toward residents and staff
