About this Apprenticeship
REWE Dortmund's school leaver programme in Wuppertal prepares participants for management duties in grocery retail and a qualification as a trade and commerce specialist. With good performance, the vocational training can be shortened to 18 months.
What You'll Learn
- Conduct customer advice and sales conversations
- Determine stock requirements and arrange orders
- Store and check goods
- Develop and organise the product range
- Display goods and carry out sales promotions
- Learn how to manage employees
- Plan staffing and prepare sales statistics, performance checks and accounts to monitor and manage the store's performance
Requirements
- Good grades in the Abitur or Fachabitur school leaving qualification
- Enthusiasm for grocery retail, ideally with some initial practical experience
- Interest in how businesses work
- A focus on customers and enjoyment of working with people
- A confident and assured manner
- Assertiveness, teamwork and organisational skills
- Strong commitment and the ability to stay on top of things even in stressful situations
