Dual Study Programme in Applied Computer Science 2027

Three-year dual study programme in applied computer science consisting of six semesters. Each semester includes three months at REWE digital in Cologne and three months at a partner university. In the sixth semester, you write your bachelor’s thesis and graduate with a Bachelor of Science.

During the practical phases in the development division, you work on current REWE digital projects. You learn programming with Java, Kotlin, Python, ABAP, COBOL and X++, modern tools and frameworks, software operations on Linux and Windows, database creation and quality assurance through testing. During the theory phases, you study software engineering, web engineering, databases, information management, computer technology, communications and network technology, project management and consulting.

You have an advanced technical college entrance qualification, Abitur or university entrance qualification with good grades. You are enthusiastic about IT and have a good basic understanding of IT. You are interested in software development and have basic knowledge of at least one programming language. You have strong technical and logical-analytical thinking, a high willingness to learn and perform, and good concentration skills. You work independently, are flexible and enjoy teamwork.
