Commissioning Manager - Process and Packaging Equipment

Pro Projekte GmbH & Co. KG is seeking project management support in Düsseldorf for an immediate start. The role manages commissioning and production ramp-up for new process, production and packaging equipment.

• Develop detailed installation and commissioning plans and advance new products or processes in close cooperation with production, engineering, quality control and purchasing.
• Ensure production equipment is ready, identify technical weaknesses early during commissioning and coordinate the ramp-up schedule with technical readiness.
• Identify best practices from projects and continuously improve common standards, methods and processes for commissioning new process, production and packaging equipment.
• Independently analyse and implement technical improvements on the production floor in close cooperation with subproject management, plant engineering and the operational excellence team.
• Independently coordinate production trial runs, performance tests and acceptance runs on site and support necessary updates.
• Support equipment ramp-up directly on site and ensure commissioning finishes on time with stable operation.
• Prepare clear reports on production equipment readiness and advise project and plant management.

• A completed degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or Food Technology, or a comparable qualification, such as a technician or master craftsperson qualification with several years of practical experience.
• Several years of professional experience in technical commissioning, equipment planning or production start-up in an industrial setting.
• Experience managing technical interfaces, especially between equipment, control technology and systems such as PLCs, IT and SAP.
• Initial experience leading teams, ideally on the production floor or during busy commissioning phases.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to assert yourself when working with project planning, plant engineering and plant management, combined with a practical approach on site.
• A category B driving licence and willingness to travel for projects.
• Business-fluent written and spoken German and English.
