Engineer Central Control Technology

In this role you take responsibility for the planning, implementation and further development of our highly available control center and process control systems. From the implementation of demanding projects to the administration of highly available system landscapes and IT/OT security topics, you will face a varied area of responsibility with high personal responsibility. With your technical expertise and analytical mindset you make an important contribution to the safe and future-proof operation of our control center.

You are responsible for projects of the Central Control Technology from conception through technical implementation to commissioning. You organize, control and monitor the budget and coordinate internal and external project participants. You administer and develop our highly available process control system and control room environment at system, network and application level. You ensure stable, high-performance and secure operation of the central control technology. You actively work on the implementation of IT/OT security requirements and support topics related to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and the intrusion detection system. In an interdisciplinary team you develop innovative solutions for complex requirements from the control center environment. The analysis, evaluation and structuring of operational, process and system data as well as the derivation of suitable technical and organizational measures also belong to your tasks. Within the existing system landscape you identify optimization potentials and realize them. In addition, you create and maintain technical documentation, operating concepts and procedural instructions. Participation in on-call duty is a matter of course for you.

Completed technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology or comparable qualification. Ideally first professional experience in a comparable technical field. Proficient use of common Microsoft Office applications and quick comprehension for working with complex technical systems and software solutions. Desirable: initial knowledge in process control systems, network technology, virtualization and/or information security. Very good German and good English skills, especially for working with technical documentation and communication with manufacturers and service providers. Analytical thinking combined with a strong solution orientation and excellent communication skills. Independent, structured and reliable way of working with a high degree of personal initiative. Strong process understanding, team spirit and sense of responsibility.
