About this Apprenticeship
TKMS is seeking a PCS7 Software Architect in Beckum. This permanent, full-time role involves developing PCS7 applications, system architectures and solutions for complex automation tasks at an international naval company.
What You'll Learn
- Develop PCS7 applications, including function blocks, CFC/SFC and libraries
- Design system architectures, networks, interfaces and fieldbus systems
- Ensure compliance with standards, cybersecurity requirements and engineering standards
- Develop concepts to meet complex customer requirements and create and maintain engineering documents
- Provide support and troubleshoot problems
Requirements
- Completed degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or information technology
- Proven professional experience implementing complex automation tasks, supporting demanding commissioning projects and independently developing PCS7 solutions
- Extensive experience over several years with Siemens PCS7, function block development, APL and WinCC scripting, including integration of third-party systems and interfaces
- Business-fluent written and spoken German and English
- Strong attention to detail, personal responsibility, resilience, organizational skills, analytical thinking and a structured approach to work
