Dual Study Program in Landscape Construction and Management (B.Eng.)

In the garden and landscaping department, we are a dedicated training department. Training is our most important task. You will be in a group with other trainees; construction sites are throughout the Munich city area. Our training has won the State Honorary Prize for exemplary training multiple times. You will study at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, Freising (HSWT). Since August 2007, HSWT has offered the Bachelor's program in Landscape Construction and Management as a dual study program. In just 4.5 years total, you can earn the academic degree Bachelor of Engineering and the vocational qualification as a gardener specializing in garden and landscaping. After a successful application to HSWT, a signed vocational training contract and a cooperation agreement, you start on August 1 in the training company in the garden and landscaping department for a 14-month training phase. In the following year, you confirm your application for a study place at HSWT and begin the Bachelor's program in the winter semester. During semester breaks and in the practical semester (5th semester), you work again at our training company. Practical phases include hands-on training, inter-company courses at DEULA in Freising, and block instruction at the vocational school in Höchstädt an der Donau. Practical training lasts 24 months, and the final examination takes place at the end of the practical semester after 3.5 years. Two semesters later, you complete your landscape construction studies with a Bachelor of Engineering. You can expect exciting tasks in the Building Department's Horticulture Division, as well as good promotion and further qualification opportunities. Remuneration is fair, and chances of permanent employment are good. Upon successful permanent employment, there is a five-year employment obligation with LHM, Building Department Horticulture.

• Abitur, Fachhochschulreife or equivalent university entrance qualification
• German language skills at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); proven by a corresponding certificate
