Secondary school teacher, several positions starting in the second half of the 2026/2027 school year

The City of Munich is recruiting teachers for municipal secondary schools and schools with special structures within Munich, starting in the second half of the 2026/2027 school year. These permanent positions are available full time or part time, with pay under E13 TVöD or A13 BayBes.

• Help children, teenagers and young adults develop their talents, abilities and personalities.
• Guide pupils in an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world, helping them lead meaningful, independent, socially responsible and sustainable lives.
• Develop modern teaching approaches with colleagues and help shape school life.

• Qualification to teach at a Realschule through successful completion of the first teaching examination for this school type, followed by successful completion of the two year preparatory teacher training service, or
• Successful completion of a special career entry programme, requiring a completed master's degree or Diplom in a shortage subject and completed practical teacher training
• Recognition by the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs if the teaching qualification was obtained outside Bavaria
• Professional knowledge: ability to develop teaching plans as a team, educational and subject knowledge, knowledge and skills in lesson design and education, willingness to help develop Munich's approach to school and teaching improvement, ability to develop and use strategies for digital media in schools, and ability to keep learning throughout your career
• Cooperation and conflict resolution skills, particularly the ability to work constructively and with trust within the school, with parents and, where relevant, outside organisations
• Focus on results and goals, particularly a strong sense of responsibility and willingness to take responsibility
• Applicants who are already civil servants with another public employer can only be considered through a transfer or secondment.
