From 01.09.2027 we will accompany you step by step on your way to learning the diverse tasks of Operating Theatre Assistance. Look forward to responsible tasks in the OR and a practice-oriented apprenticeship. The apprenticeship consists of 3,000 hours of practical training in our hospital and cooperating medical facilities and 1,600 theoretical and practical teaching units at the OTA school (San-ak GmbH). Theoretical instruction takes place in block courses. You will complete the practical part in various specialist departments of the hospital. With us you will learn the independent organisation and coordination of work steps, the preparation of surgical units and assisting during surgery. You will be guided in the care of patients before, during and after surgery.

You have already completed a secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss), an equivalent educational qualification or a lower secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) with at least 2 years of vocational training (or qualification as a nursing assistant (general or geriatric care)). Your German language skills are at least level B2. Since you will take on very diverse, responsible tasks, you should have a strong sense of responsibility and ability to learn. For work with anaesthetised patients, your concentration skills are also required. For situations requiring quick action, mental stability and good agility are equally important. Working hours: You will spend 38.5 hours per week on work assignments with us. Good accessibility: You can reach us very well by public transport (Romanplatz stop).
